In a joint effort to address the displacement of communities and individuals in Southern Kaduna due to terrorist attacks, the Kaduna State Government and security agencies, led by Operation Safe Haven, have formulated a plan to resettle these affected communities and victims back to their ancestral homes. Governor Uba Sani, accompanied by military officials, announced this initiative during a press briefing following the state's security council meeting. He emphasized the importance of logistics support and assistance in rebuilding destroyed communities to facilitate the successful resettlement process. "Fighting insecurity is the number one agenda of this administration," Governor Sani stated. "We believe that without resolving the security challenges, we might not be able to achieve the development goals of our government." The state government aims to provide comprehensive support to displaced communities, ensuring their safety and creating conditions conducive to resuming normal activities. Meanwhile, Major General AbdulSalam Abubakar, GOC 3 Division and Commander Operation Safe Haven, revealed that the first phase of the resettlement will involve 15 communities. The government will provide necessary logistics to enable these communities to rebuild and reestablish their lives. Major General Valentine Okoro, GOC 1 Division, highlighted the collaborative efforts between government and security stakeholders to strengthen security architecture and address vulnerabilities. This initiative underscores the commitment of the Kaduna State Government and security agencies to address the humanitarian crisis caused by terrorist attacks, prioritizing the safety and well-being of affected communities in Southern Kaduna.
